It can be difficult in some areas to find and connect with organizations and volunteer opportunities. Luckily for those of us in the Kansas City area, we have Uncover KC whose mission is to create positive social impact through community engagement.

As a company whose day to day operations are part of people purchasing & refinancing homes, it would be easy to forget that homelessness is a real problem for many. Our USA Cares recipient for July was Community Linc, an organization whose day-to-day focus is that very thing. Community Linc is a non-profit focused on building better futures for homeless families. They were nominated by our Chief Financial Officer, Chris Purcell.

At United States Appraisals, we know the key to getting good results for sellers and lenders is making the appraisers feel respected and valued.

Our USA Cares selection in June was Borrow My Angel. They are a small non-profit with a desire to make a significant impact on the lives of many.

The ranks of available Appraisers are thinning out. One way to cope with the issue: enable the appraisers to be more efficient. With Valuation Express, our “Uber app", our assignment team can locate the appraiser in real-time to expedite the inspection – often within minutes of receipt.   

As a company, we believe strongly in the saying, "if you can, do." For a while, we have had an internal program we call USA Cares. Each month, based on employee suggestions, we choose a charity or non-profit organization to spotlight. Along with this, we also make a monetary donation. We are proud of the time and resources our fantastic staff members give to these groups and have decided to start sharing our USA Cares program more publicly. We hope that through our sharing of these organizations, in a way you will get to know us better. Or maybe you will find a charity or non-profit that speaks to you as so many of our staff have.
